Former Farm Residents

Cookie passed in April 2026 after losing a battle with a sinus infection that turned to abcesses. He was surrounded by love at OSU’s veterinary center where we gave him copious cookies and kisses before we said goodbye.

Gertie passed peacefully in spring 2026 with the help of the vets at OSU after sustaining a suspected injury to her neck.

Ruby passed in September of 2025 of a sudden and painless heart attack.

Cookie Monster was one of the three goats, including Billie and Toast, we rescued from horrible conditions in Allen County, Ohio, in August 2022. He had deformities in his front legs, overgrown hooves, and a high parasite load. He never got comfortable with the main herd and would try to run and hide, so we created a stall just for him where he could feel safe and secure. Cookie loved treats and in spite of his deformities, could run like the wind! He passed in April 2026 after losing a battle with extensive abcesses and infection in his sinuses. He enjoyed most of a jar of cookies before we said goodbye at OSU's veterinary hospital.

BoBeau peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 30, 2025 at the age of 12. We rescued him in 2017 when he was four years old.

Shirley Ann was a sweet goat with an infectious smile and gentle nature.

Ginger was rescued in 2014, along with many other horses, from a so-called "rescuer/flipper." She and Danny were inseparable.

Our gentle Clydesdale Danny came to us in 2012 after severe neglect.

Dancer's mother, Kimmy, was an owner surrender in 2006 from a foster who was overwhelmed.

In 2006, Gruffy was one of our first rescues along with 249 other goats.

Henry was rescued in 2007 and was slated to be someone's dinner.

Buttons wandered down our driveway in 2008.
