Ohio's Leading Voice for the Animals

Cookie Monster, the third goat rescued from a neglect case in Northern Ohio in 2022, along with Billie and Toast, was by far the worst off. He was emaciated, with a body score of approximately one and a contracted tendon in his foreleg. However, he was a great eater, and, to our surprise, he could walk on his three working legs and run like the wind.

Cookie passed in April 2026 after losing a battle with a sinus infection that turned to abcesses. He was surrounded by love at OSU’s veterinary center where we gave him copious cookies and kisses before we said goodbye.
