Ohio's Leading Voice for the Animals
A Call for Help
January 2016
In this case a deputy dog warden requested our help, as his local humane society had no space and the family was overwhelmed with too many cats. Members of the Ohio SPCA Response Team removed, transported, and then provided care for the cats. Many of the cats were sick or pregnant. Their recovery took months and sadly one very ill cat died. These people were not able to provide the care needed. Uncontrolled breeding only added to the tragic reality of pet overpopulation. Unsanitary conditions and lack of medical resulted in very sick animals.
