Help the Ohio SPCA win $10,000

You can help the Ohio SPCA win $10,000 through the All-Star Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter Challenge. Voting is simple: Click on the link below. Select United States and Ohio. Type in Ohio SPCA in the search box. Then select Ohio SPCA (Grove City). You can cast one vote every day from a computer. Pass the word onto family and friends.

Seventy-seven (77) grants will be awarded for a total of $100,000 to eligible Petfinder.com members. Final prizes will go to the eligible Petfinder.com organization with the highest accumulative votes for the duration of the Challenge as specified in the rules.

Voting begins on September 20, 2010, and ends at midnight (PST) on December 19, 2010. The more friends you can rally to vote for your favorite rescue organization, the better its chances of winning. Every vote, every day counts – shelters can pull ahead even during the last few days with enough support. Get people involved! Your favorite rescue organization is counting on you!

Eligible organizations with the most votes could receive a weekly prize and/or one of the other grants below:

Grand Prize: One $10,000 grant!
Second Prize: One $7,000 grant!
Third Prize: One $5,000 grant!
Most Touching Story Prize – May: One $2,000 grant!
Most Touching Story Prize – June: One $2,000 grant!
Most Touching Story Prize – July: One $2,000 grant!
Most Touching Story Prize – August: One $2,000 grant!
State Winners*: Fifty-one $1,000 state grants
(50 U.S. states and Washington D.C.)
Canadian Winners*: Three $1,000 grants will be awarded.
International Winner*: Two $1,000 grants will be awarded.
Weekly Winners* Fourteen $1,000 grants will be awarded, one for each week of the Shelter+ Challenge.

Pic: Lily – Lily was rescued from a backyard breeder (small scale puppy mill). She had one eye ripped out by another dog. When rescued the other eye was ruptured and had to be removed. She had skin and ear infections, and her nails were overgrown. Lily is living out her life on the Ohio SPCA farm animal sanctuary. She is a special needs senior dog with heart disease. Donations for her care are needed.
