  • The Ohio SPCA's long-awaited dream of a new barn to house the many rescued abused animals on the farm sanctuary has become a reality. When the Ohio SPCA needed a new barn, they reached out to their Facebook friends. “The power of this social network can't be denied, states Teresa Landon, Executive Director.” Many Facebook friends came forward and donated the much needed money for the new barn.  However the Ohio SPCA was still $10,000 short until Diana Stackhouse of Arkansas found out and generously made up the difference.

  • Noah Turner with the Ohio SPCA proclaimed victory for the dogs in Fayette County at a press conference held by Sheriff Stanforth on October 18, 2010. Additionally, Noah thanked the Sheriff for bringing long overdue change to the dog pound. At this time, we have been assured by Sheriff Stanforth that the Fayette County Dog Pound will be operated according to the Ohio Revised Code with stray dogs being held for a minimum of 72 hours, kennels kept properly cleaned, injured and sick animals attended to, and efforts to save as many lives as possible. At this time, the Ohio SPCA will not be moving forward with a lawsuit.

  • On February 28th, at approx. 5:30 am, we lost our hay building and hay during the high winds. The 12 x 20 metal framed tarp building held down by cinder blocks and anchors lifted up and flew thru the air approx 100 feet with the cinder blocks still attached. It landed in a crumpled pile in the cow pasture. Thank God, no animals were hurt.

    On February 28th, at approx. 5:30 am, we lost our hay building and hay during the high winds.   • Frankie, a 10 week old kitten, was struck by a vehicle on October 2, 2010. As drivers continued to drive around and over him, Frankie flopped and dragged his little body. As an Ohio SPCA volunteer reached him, he crawled under an SUV.
