Rosey

roseyAfter years of neglect and being kept alive merely to produce foals for profit, this sweet mare could not be saved. Rosey’s front legs were twisted and deformed. Three OSU vets examined her. If one of her front legs had been close to normal, surgery might have worked. However, a previously untreated break in the ankle and severely overgrown hooves had resulted in abnormal bone change and destruction. Three Ohio SPCA volunteers remained with Rosie as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. This gentle creature is no longer in pain.
