The Ohio SPCA has established a farm sanctuary on a 40 acre property in Pickaway County. Eighty-five animals currently live on the farm sanctuary. Many of the animals on the farm have special needs and will live out their lives with us.
In our care, they have continued to thrive regardless of their age, medical needs, or emotional or behavior issues. Caring for these special animals is costly. Please consider a donation to help us provide for their continued care.

Alphie was found outside ABC Pools in Grove City, Ohio. She had sores all over her due to flea infestation and both of her ears were infected. Alphie was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and receives daily medication and routine blood tests. Alphie’s quite the little lady and her movements often mimic those of a wind-up toy. She’s a beautiful senior diluted Calico. |

Mr. Kitty was rescued along with Simon and many other cats from a collector/puppy mill in southern Ohio. He loves having real cat food since he no longer has to dig through burnt trash to eat. Mr. Kitty is a handsome senior guy and likes to guard the kitchen counter. |

Simon was the sickest of all the cats rescued from the collector in southern Ohio. Because his upper respiratory infection was so severe, it was nearly six months before Simon was well enough to be around the other sanctuary cats. He continues to have some minor problems with congestion due to a nasal abnormality. However, he’s a beautiful cat and very ornery. |

Jake and Jerrod were part of the huge goat seize. They were in extremely poor condition and rehabilitation was a long process. Both of these wonderful boys have CAE (goat arthritis) and require special care. Jake and Jerrod are two of the most loving and affectionate goats on the farm sanctuary. |
| Oreo | |

Oreo joined our sanctuary family in the fall of 2007 at the age of eight. He came from a wonderful human family. However, all of his goat companions had passed away and he was so lonely that he wouldn’t stay in the barn or pasture. His human family was selling their farm and couldn’t adopt more goats. Oreo is quite a character. This beautiful senior boy follows us everywhere and demands attention. Oreo is also a leaper. He easily clears the barn partitions and gates and then goes visiting. |
| Gimpy | |

Gimpy was also part of the huge goat rescue. Gimpy is crippled due to a break in a front leg which was never medically treated. Although he walks and runs with a pronounced limp, this senior guy gets around just fine in the pastures and on the hills and ravines on the farm. |
| Elvis | |

Elvis is a beautiful blue-eyed boy. Rescued with over 200 goats, he was in very poor condition. Although he recovered, his lungs are scarred from pneumonia. When the weather is hot and dry, he becomes a heavy breather and receives medical care as needed. |
