Jasmine
After living the best two years of her life, Jasmine recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge during the night. This senior girl was loved and pampered by two wonderful sanctuary caregivers, Kevin and Megan. They loved her as their own and our heartfelt sympathies are with them. Thank you Kevin and Megan for loving this special canine during the last years of her life, for the many trips to the vet, and for providing the best in care which obviously gave Jasmine a longer life and a chance to be loved and spoiled.

Jasmine's Rescue...

Jasmine is a sweet senior girl with a lot of love to give.  Her story is one of neglect.  When rescued from the Scioto County Dog Shelter, she had a huge mammary tumor hanging near her back legs and some hair loss on her back.  Her little ears appeared to have been frost-bitten.  Jasmine  had surgery and was placed in a wonderful foster home.  Her future seemed full of hope.  Recently, another tumor was found and the return of the mammary cancer was confirmed.  Jasmine will now remain in the Ohio SPCA's Sanctuary Care Program.  She is able to run and play on her good days and relax and chew on bones or toys on days when she is feeling tired.  Most importantly, Jasmine has someone who will love her for the rest of her life.   Special thanks to Kevin and Megan for opening their hearts and allowing this sweet girl to share their home.

The Ohio SPCA rescues to give life. Old age or illness are not reasons to give up on an animal. If the animal can be helped and their quality of life is good, then care and treatment are provided.
