Help Stop the Shooting and Gassing
of Homeless Animals in Ohio
House Bill #104 was introduced by House Representative Chris Redfern, of Ottawa County, after seeing news coverage on the shooting of dogs in Southern Ohio. Exposed by The Ohio SPCA and Scott Taylor, a news reporter from Cleveland, this coverage has opened a door, which was once closed, into the atrocities occurring daily to Ohio's unwanted Pets.
Ohio SPCA has been victorious by ending the shooting and/or gassing in four Ohio counties so far. However, there is so much more to be done. This is why your support of this bill is crucial.
"Too many Ohio counties continue to kill dogs by inhumane gassing methods, heart sticks, and/or with bullets as a means of euthanasia. These methods are carried out by the very county officials who are supposed to be caring for these animals. It is simply inconceivable that Ohio has reached a point of moral disregard for the humane treatment of animals and for the law. Law makers and leaders of this state should hold their heads in shame." explains Lisa Klem, Ohio SPCA Director of Legislation
