Update: PODS of Columbus, Ohio Comes to the Rescue! When our hay building was destroyed, PODS of Columbus immediately responded, so we would have temporary hay storage. By March 1st, an 8′ x 16′ POD was delivered and dropped into place. This was most generous of the owners, Adina and Marc Pelletier. From the animals and the volunteers, “Thank you, Adina and Marc Pelletier for your generosity and compassion for animals!”

On February 28th, at approximately. 5:30 am, we lost our hay building and hay during the high winds. The 12 x 20 metal framed tarp building held down by cinder blocks and anchors lifted up and flew thru the air approx 100 feet with the cinder blocks still attached. It landed in a crumpled pile in the cow pasture. Thank God, no animals were hurt.
As a result, our hay is ruined and we have no permanent storage now. The Ohio SPCA is an all-volunteer organization and we struggle to make ends meet. We have been trying to raise funds for a new barn. This is devastating. Please consider helping us build our new barn. Every dollar makes a difference for the over 100 animals in our care and those who will need our help in the future.
