Please help. 18 tigers were shot in Zainesville, Ohio. The man let them go, then killed himself. Media says they HAD to be shot to protect people. The pic shows all the tigers within inches of each other in a HUGE field, in the woods. NO HOMES IN SIGHT. It was a massacre. Whoever made the decision to shoot them, and not tranquilize them so they could be helped needs to be held accountable. Please look into this. Why did a regulatory check not ever get done?? This is so awful that other procedures weren't followed for these exotic animals. Please, help....get this out to whoever can get to the bottom of this. 18 killed for no reason!!! Thank you, Julie

I just lost my best friend of four years. She was a mix of four different breeds. But she was the best dog I could ever ask for. I don't want another animal. But I would love to help others.

I am asking that an investigation be done at the Belmont County Animal Shelter in St.Clairsville, Ohio. I have witnessed firsthand the inhumane conditions there! I went there on Tuesday (October 4th, 2011). It was extremely overcrowded, to say the least! The animals were walking around in their own fecal matter and without food. Some animals that were there were behind a fence that said "Do not enter, we may bite". Then why are they there? Obviously they cannot be adopted out! There was a terrier that has cataracts so bad that it's eyeballs were completely white, it couldn't see and was running into the side of its cage! The staff is unfriendly and unwilling to answer questions. They kept saying "talk to the supervisor", but she is never there. This is the 2nd time I've been out there and she wasn't around. Please do whatever it is you can to help these animals!

the trumbull county/warren animal welfare league (of which I'm not sure you're affiliated with), refused any sort of help, advice, or guidance with my pet (cat) problem. the representative who addressed me was condescending, callous, apathetic, and in so many words told me "you're on your own". I could not possibly be more dissatisfied, offended, or upset with the way in which my situation was handled. Thankfully my pet is now healthy and recovered, NO thanks to the disrespectful, careless way in which I was received.

I believe there needs to be a thorough investigation at the Belmont County Animal Shelter in St.Clairsville, Ohio. It is overcrowded, unclean, and the supervisor is impossible. I understand that they want they animals to go to the best possible homes, but the requirements to adopt the animals are ridiculous! They have many dogs there that are not adoptable (they bite, they are old, too many health problems), yet they refuse to put them down. Other animals, they have no problem putting to sleep! I went out there today to look around. The place was filthy (to say the least) and there was fecal matter all over the place. When I tried to talk to the staff they were unfriendly (at best. As I said, I think there needs to be some investigating done there! I don't believe the supervisor has the appropriate credentials for this job!
